Why should I join a group?
Groups are for believers
and non-believers!
In Matthew 28:16-20 Jesus gives us what we call
The Great Commision. That means the main job
of Restoration Christian Church is to help people find and follow Jesus. Everything
we do as a church, the goal would be that God would use it to draw (find) people to Christ
or use it to help people grow deeper in their faith in (follow) Christ. If you're a believer, groups provide an opportunity to invite people (believer or non-believer) in,
bring them closer together as one community, connect with others, and grow in Christ's truth.
If you're a non-believer, groups are good not only to begin learning about Christ, but to join others
in this thing we call "life" and all the good/bad that comes with it. If you are undecided where to begin,
we suggest starting with an interest or small group.
At Restoration we have various kinds of groups with emphasis on different parts of our mission. New groups
are started as need/interest arise.
If you are interesting in attending a group, please check our
calendar for groups available and when they are meeting. You can also
contact us online or speak to somebody in person if you would
like more information or to get directions to group.
Whether you decide to attend or not, we are praying for you!
Interest Groups
These groups provide a way for groups of people to fellowship, connection each other and connect
with God through common interests or passions. Current examples of this type of group include
senior's group, women's craft nights hosted by
Sisters In Christ, and our
Kingsmen men's ministry.
Small Groups
These are small groups of people; typically 8 or less. Where Bible study groups focus on
studying the Bible, small groups focus on relationships, prayer and support. Small groups do
discuss passages in the Bible; however, the focus of a small group is on fellowship with one
another in Christ and providing spiritual, emotional, physical and social care to each other
through prayer, discussion and support.
Bible Study Groups
These groups can vary in number from 2 or 3 up to dozens. The focus is on digging into
the Word to grow deeper in understanding of God. Examples of these groups are our Sunday
and Wednesday night Bible studies.
